Year 5 blog article on Portuguese teaching
Our IPC unit this term is the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. As part of our unit, we thought “out of the box” and started learning Portuguese language!!! And to make it even more exciting and real, we asked some Brazilian students from another class to come and teach us the language themselves, thus sharing their own knowledge with us. These students were Luiza from year 7 and Lucca in year 6. They were fantastic teachers! So thanks to them, now we can say hello and goodbye in Portuguese : “Oi/Tchau”. We can count in Portuguese and also understand some sports. What a great cooperation between students ! Thank you so much Luiza and Lucca for your support and enthusiasm!!!
